Welcome to UNOPND’s monthly recap of May.
One of the major roles of an incubator is to answer the questions “what’s next?” and “how do we get there?” It’s definitely not an easy job, but that’s what incubators are for. UNOPND strives to lead the Web3 industry by continuously developing its expertise, sharing valuable insights, and scaling its networks.
In May, our team participated in a number of IRL events. Through these events, we shared our insights about Web3 as a technology, business, and community. They were great opportunities not only to scale our network and seek new collaborations, but also to witness passionate builders of Web3 industries in action.
Of course, UNOPND continued to support our innovative Metaverse and NFT projects. You can check out some of the highlights of this month’s progress of each project in this article.

IRL Events, Conferences, and Meet-Ups
Bullish in Web3
UNOPND co-hosted a Web3 networking event “Bullish in Web3” with 82house and Surgence on May 6th. Active Web3 projects from Korea including Kingdom Story: Heroes War, Fidelion, Daehong Communication (Lotte Bellygom), and XOCIETY joined the event and shared their insights on how to build and manage communities.
Yonsei University
GD Kim, COO of UNOPND, spoke at a lecture at Yonsei University for its inaugural blockchain curriculum on May 15th. He shared UNOPND’s effort on bridging the gap between technical complexity of blockchain and user-friendly interfaces to reshape the digital experience.
Glitch Web3.0 Global Conference
On May 20th, Nathan Kim, UNOPND Marketing Director, joined a panel “Web3 Game Economy and Globalization Strategies for Local Games” at Glitch Hackathon. The panel included Kousei Sho, Head of Global BD of Pacific Meta, and Hyewon Jeong, Analyst of Xangle. The panel talked about how Web3 game can revolutionize the gaming industry and possible strategies to expand Web3 in the future gaming market.
Undefined Hacker House
On May 26th, GD Kim, COO of UNOPND, participated Undefined Hacker House by Undefined Labs and shared his thoughts on Web3 entertainment industry and prerequisites for its mass adoption.
Derby Stars Updates
Alpha launch of Derby Stars is coming this summer! After months of hard work, the team is finally able to share the game with the public. The exact date is still to be determined so please keep your eyes on Derby Stars Twitter and Discord.
New Features for Alpha Launch
Derby Stars is constantly working to improve the game and make it the best it can be. As part of this effort, here are some of the new features that will be available for the alpha launch:
- Accessibility
One of the top priorities of Derby Stars has been to ensure that the game is accessible to as many players as possible. As part of this effort the team has been working on a rental system that will allow non-NFT holders to play the game. Also, the game supports multiple languages, including English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese. - Engagement and Rewards
Encyclopedia with information about the horses in the game and how to play the game is added to help users engage with the game. Also, there will be attendance and event-related features that will make the game more engaging and rewarding for the players. - Mobile Builds
Derby Stars is working on mobile builds for the game, including Webview Integration, push notifications, and testing on both Android and iOS devices. The team is still optimizing the game for mobile devices and will continue to do so in the coming months. We are facing numerous hurdles that must be overcome before we can successfully launch on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. However, despite the uncertainty, we are actively working towards resolving these challenges. - Art Renewal & Upgrading
The team is constantly working to improve the art in the game, including various animations and character enhancements, optimization of new maps, and a UI renewal with new 3D BG integration for training and PvP.

XOCIETY Updates
Shoot, Earn, Pioneer. Now We Live in XOCIETY.
XOCIETY is a metaverse with shooter mechanics at its core.
May has seen a lot of work behind the scenes for XOCIETY, as well as a significant community milestone. So now is a great time to look back and show off what that all means.
The Future of Web3 Games and Crypto, built in Korea.
XOCIETY has been actively out there reaching to the wider Web3 community, as part of that it was awesome to have, via Twitter spaces, Aki Network host XOCIETY’s Head of Community Ryan as part of a wider talk about the future of Web3. Adding even more value was UNOPND’s Director of Marketing Nathan, as well as Professor Jo, of Undefined Labs who gave great insights to the world of WEB3, all with a Korean perspective. The future of Web3 games and crypt will be built in Korea.

Community is Growing Fast
First up, XOCIETY’s community has hit a new milestone, with our base of Pioneers hitting a brand new height, on Twitter we’ve been celebrating moving beyond 40,000 followers.
We’re still eager for growth and are ramping up our drops of lore and teaser content, so keep an eye on @XOCIETYofficial for more awesome teasers and mystery as we release it.
Internal testing and Investor teasing
May has been a very active month for testing internal builds and making sure what we have planned to release for Frontier NFT holder tests is as good as it can be.
The XOCIETY team has regularly run boss encounters to smooth them out as much as possible. Of course, it’s still in active development, so things like a Frontier Avatar going flying from a heavy attack can happen, check that out in the video below).
It’s not only been internal testing, XOCIETY has also been hard at work showing off the current status of dev to numerous VCs, and while we can’t publicly name-drop them, as we’ve moved forward a core group is emerging, around six of the leading parties have had their chance to get hands-on with a small slice of XOCIETY. Fan-made trailers
XOCIETY Pioneers are out there spreading the word. Community members make their own XOCIETY trailers, helping push hype and spread the word in their own style. Using already released clips and images, it’s amazing to see. Check out two of our favorites below.

DAVA Updates
DAVA team has successfully completed the development of NFT drop tool and has initiated pilot tests with partners as planned.
The pilot test has been progressing smoothly, with positive feedback received from the partners involved. This feedback serves as an encouraging sign, indicating that the pilot is on track for a successful transition to live service, even with limited resources.
Based on the result of the first pilot, the team will gather comprehensive feedback to further enhance the current version and introduce additional features in the second pilot. These features include an on-chain data analytics tool and a CRM tool, aligning with the roadmap shared with the community. Initially scheduled for early June, the second pilot has been rescheduled to late June/early July to accommodate partner availability.
Once the second pilot is successfully done, the team plans to proceed with the development of the full version, integrating it into the DAVA ecosystem. The team anticipates the full version to be ready by mid-July, with an estimated timeline of 3 to 3.5 months. When the full version is completed and integrated into the DAVA ecosystem, we expect it to have a positive impact on the revitalization of the ecosystem.
Despite the challenging conditions, the DAVA team remains committed and focused on the project’s advancement. We appreciate the ongoing support from our community and eagerly anticipate your active engagement.

On the 3rd episode of ‘Explore Log’, the members revealed that Odd Eye Circle are currently preparing a comeback.
On May 24th, both ARTMS and tripleS became the first Kpop girl group to have an official verified Discord server. If you haven’t joined ARTMS Discord, please join now!

May 1st, marked the 1st Anniversary for tripleS.
Also on May 1st, First Grand Gravity of Binary01 has come to an end.
The first Grand Gravity for Binary01, where fans formed two new dimension(unit) and chose their promotion order, has come to an end. A total of 139,464 COMO were used for this Gravity.
LOVElution is composed of YuBin, SeoYeon, Kaede, DaHyun, SoHyun, HyeRin, Nien. EVOLution is composed of YooYeon, ChaeYeon, NaKyoung, JiWoo, Kotone, SooMin, and YeonJi.
LOVElution will be promoting first followed by EVOLution.
On May 3rd, +(KR)ystal Eyes hosted a live on the official Discord server, prior to the release of <AESTHETIC>
+(KR)ystal Eyes, the girls with glistening eyes finally debut. After a fan vote in 2022 to form the sub-unit and clear-cut preparations, the girls are finally ready to stand in front of fans.
<AESTHETIC>, an album with Y2K sensitivity reinterpreted with the music taste of 2023, was chosen as +(KR)ystal Eyes’ album to pursue their aesthetic visuals and music that maximizes their charms.
